Kaysha Herd

Kaysha Herd is a Licensed Professional Counselor providing virtual sessions for clients of NTCC. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Arlington and her Master’s degree in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University. Kaysha has experience working with adolescents through her work as well as serving at the local church. She has a heart for Christ-centered discipleship and walking alongside teenagers and college-aged students in day-to-day life. 


In her career, Kaysha has experience working with children and families who have experienced sexual abuse, emotional abuse, neglect, grief and loss, and additional traumatic events. Through counseling, Kaysha has worked with several different behaviors, including depression, anxiety, self-harm, suicidality, and post-traumatic stress. Kaysha is also familiar with the child welfare system after working as a foster and adoption therapist and case manager. 


She is currently trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Multidimensional Grief Therapy (MGT), and Trauma and Grief Component Therapy (TGCT). Kaysha desires for her clients to experience hope, freedom, and transformation in Christ throughout counseling.
