Adam Sandlin, MA, LPC-S

Adam Sandlin is the founder and director of Covenant Christian Counseling and has been with North Texas Christian Counseling since 2014. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) in the State of Texas, and a Certified Biblical Counselor through the Association of Biblical Counselors (ABC).

Adam holds a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of North Texas. For almost 20 years, he has worked with individuals, groups, couples, and families in community and private clinical settings, as well as in discipleship, counseling, youth, recovery, teaching, and preaching ministries in the local church.

Adam's specialties include Obsessive-Compulsive and Related Disorders (OCD) and adult Attention Deficit Disorders (ADD/ADHD). His post-graduate training and certifications include: Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) from the Behavioral Therapy Training Institute (BTTI) of the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF) and Psychiatry Academy at Massachusetts General Hospital; Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT) through the OCD Training School; and he is a Certified Clinical Services Provider (CCSP) for the treatment of ADD/ADHD.

Adam regularly works with clients experiencing OCD, adult ADD/ADHD, depression, stress, anxiety, relationship problems, spiritual crises, life transitions, people-pleasing, pornography use, and helping ministry leaders.

It is Adam's firm conviction that God’s sufficient Word and power have “granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence” (2 Peter 1:3). Through the biblical counseling relationship, God has given a means of grace and wisdom for the transforming of His people into His image “from one degree of glory to another” (2 Corinthians 3:18), and for the common good of all (Galatians 6:10).

Adam is an elder at Covenant Baptist Church in Denton, Texas, where he and his wife worship as members and attend with their three children. He has enjoyed preaching in local churches (especially his own), guest appearances on various podcasts, and several speaking engagements, including the annual ABC "Called To Counsel" National Conference. Additionally, he has contributed to the ABC's annual published devotionals, including Counseling Through Romans (2023) and Counseling Through God's Attributes (2024). Adam likes to hunt, read, write, and play music.
